Georgia 4-star QB commit Ryan Puglisi sets official visit

2 min read

Avon (Conn.) Avon Old Farms four-star quarterback and Georgia commit Ryan Puglisi will be returning to Athens from April 11-13. That will not be his only trip to see the Bulldogs in the foreseeable future, however.

On3 has learned that Puglisi will be officially visiting Georgia from June 7-9. He has been committed to head coach Kirby Smart and his staff since Oct. 16.

“I am extremely, extremely strong with Georgia,” Puglisi said on March 14. “I am a Georgia Bulldog. I don’t want to be anything else.”

Puglisi is the No. 144 overall prospect and No. 11 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Connecticut.

On3 rates Puglisi higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 87 overall prospect and No. 7 quarterback in the country.

Despite having a commitment from Puglisi, the Bulldogs are still recruiting Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Dylan Raiola. However, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound signal-caller is not concerned.

“It doesn’t really mean much because I know whether I go to anywhere in the country, I’m gonna have to battle whether he’s ahead of me or he’s behind me,” Puglisi said last month. “I don’t think it really bothers me.”

“They’ve been completely upfront with me,” he added.

Puglisi feels good about the future at Georgia

Puglisi shared that MichiganMiamiNorth Carolina and Ohio State are trying to get him to visit. However, he is feeling good about Georgia and speaks with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo every day.

“Coach Bobo is a great guy,” Puglisi said. “I love everything about him when it comes to football and outside of football. He is a family guy, and he loves Georgia football. They (Bobo and Todd Monken) are pretty similar. I think they both have a similar mindset on the way they think and coach.”

Puglisi previously revealed that Monken’s departure would not have an impact on his pledge to the Bulldogs. Right now, he is close with multiple coaches and commits and feels good about the direction of the program.

“Everyone there has bought into the process,” Puglisi said. “Whether they’re taking care of the football or they’re actually writing the script of what they’re doing, everything in there is doing their job at 100% and they’re all buying in and they’re all ready to go through the process and do whatever it takes.”
