Georgia loses Kendall Milton for rest of spring with hamstring injury

Georgia running back Kendall Milton suffered a hamstring injury during week two of spring drills and its more serious than DawgsHQ’s initial report on Monday morning. We have now learned that the senior ball carrier will miss the rest of spring.

Sources tell DawgsHQ that he is expected to make a full recover and in time for preseason camp. It’s a tough injury for Milton, who has battled injuries in each of his four years at UGA. He made the decision before the 2022 season was over that he would be coming back for one final season in red and black. The California native is expected to be the Bulldogs’ feature running back.

“I knew what I wanted by the time that I leave Georgia. I know that I wanted to get my degree from Georgia,” Milton said this spring. “You put in all this work for something that, you know, shows power and has importance when it comes to the real world. So I wanted to finish out.

“I wanted to finish out with the brothers that I came in with. We work every day, and we put everything on the line and everything on the table. Just being able to come in and come out with a bang, I would say that’s something that’s super big to me.”

The former four-star prospect missed two games in 2022 and was limited in a couple of others. Still, he piled up 592 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on just 85 carries. He also added five catches for 64 yards and a score.

His numbers have trended up each of his three seasons with the team. He missed three games as a freshman in 2020 while picking up 193 yards on 35 carries. Milton missed six games as a sophomore in 2021, getting 56 carries for 264 yards and a score.
