Florida State head coach Mike Norvell has challenged early enrollee quarterback Brock Glenn during the spring practice season. Norvell has been impressed with what Glenn has been able to learn and grasp during his short time in Tallahassee, Fla.
“Really remarkable because it’s been a lot,” Norvell said after a practice in April. “He asks the right questions. The application the first time through is going to be very challenging for any quarterback that’s taking the amount of information that we’re putting on him. But as you see now he’s going through it again and just he’s asking the right question questions, his eyes are in the right places. You’re seeing that growth. He’s applying those steps through the early experiences that he’s had.”
Glenn is not expected to see much of the field at all this first season with the other quarterbacks in room featuring redshirt senior and starter Jordan Travis, redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker, redshirt freshman AJ Duffy and redshirt freshman Dylan McNamara.
But Glenn could be the future of the room and Norvell is doing all he can to help make the freshman get used to life at the college level.
You want you want guys to come in and whatever is thrown at them, they don’t get rattled,” Norvell said. “What I like is I’ll jump on pretty good. Try to you know, if he, you know, even early when he’s maybe making decisions that probably shouldn’t. Just trying to test to see if I can get him off his game and he’s a real one. I like the way he handles coaching. I like the way he responds to good and bad.”
