The board at running back is a little bare for Nebraska. The Huskers are taking care of that, though extending an offer to Micah Ka’apana from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman. The 5-foot-11 and 195-pound running back got a visit from the Nebraska staff last week and is planning on taking an official visit to Lincoln later this summer.
“Coach EJ was here on Tuesday,” Ka’apana said. “I plan on getting out to Lincoln maybe sometime over the summer. If this summer doesn’t work then me and my coach talked about coming out for a game this fall.”
Micah Ka’apana knows a few things about Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule
Ka’apana knows quite a bit about Nebraska’s new head coach and Nebraska in general. He has heard a lot about Husker Nation and what it’s like in Lincoln during a gameday weekend.
“I know that coach Rhule has had great previous coaching experiences at different places so I am excited to see what he will do at Nebraska. I have heard that Nebraska is a football city and it gets real during gameday weekends.”
There will be a chance for Ka’apana to get out to Nebraska to see it soon enough. He’s talking about a summer official visit to Nebraska. Ka’apana has set a visit date yet. His coach also encourages Ka’apana to return to Lincoln in the fall.
“I would like to take an official visit to Nebraska,” Ka’apana said. “Hopefully, we can get a date set up soon.
“My plan is to take some visits over the summer and maybe even during the season just to get a feel for the campus and the coaches in person.”
