Florida State held a 110 play scrimmage on Saturday in its final full-scale game simulation before the Apr. 15 Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase. Head coach Mike Norvell planned on using QB Jordan Travis on multiple drives during Saturday’s work but after a Travis led opening 12 play drive that resulted in a touchdown, Norvell opted to rest his starting signal caller and cycle in the younger arms. “When your best players are improving it makes you excited for what’s ahead,” said Norvell.
Defensive coordinator Adam Fuller was pleased with the amount of three and out success, turnover creation and response of the defense after surrendering explosive plays; referred to it as a clean performance.
